ETERNAL Art Space immersive exhibition will be held at Shibuya (Hikarie Hall B) from November 22nd until 24th 2024, presented by MUTEK.JP Edition 9, offering groundbreaking art experiences by combining unique artistic concepts with the latest technologies.
“Humanity and the Modern System” - showcasing reality as art as a transformative experience. The exhibition aims to give participants new perspectives and senses, encouraging empathy and awareness by presenting reality itself as a work of art. Through this unique approach, visitors are invited to perceive the world in new ways, fostering a deeper internal shift. Participating artists include Ryoichi Kurokawa, a renowned Japanese artist in the field of audiovisual art, who won the prestigious Golden Nica Award for Digital Music & Sound Art at Ars Electronica (Austria). He will present two works, “re-assembli” and “ground”. Additionally, the Italian Artist Collective SPIME.IM + AKASHA, known for exploring aesthetics and language born from the affirmation of digital reality through transmedia projects, will present a special edition of “HINT”. This exhibition will offer a 35-minute immersive art experience showcasing three cutting-edge audiovisual installations.

Japanese artist, born in 1978, lives and works in Berlin, Germany. Kurokawa’s works take on multiple forms such as installation works, recordings, and concert pieces. He composes the time sculpture with the field recordings and the digital generated structures, and reconstructs architecturally the audiovisual phenomenon. Their work as been featured at international digital art festivals such as Mutek, Ars Electronica,Club to Club, L.E.V., Lunchmeat, Rhizom and Lost Music Festival and recently delivered their latest multimedia production “The End Of The World” with internationally renowned pianist and composer Lubomyr Melnyk and cellist Julia Kent. His research focuses on digital abstraction, glitch and post-internet art. he founded High Files Collective, a videomapping and multimedia design studio.His sources of inspiration are nature and the arts in all their forms. He works on the themes of transcendence, meditation or even science. He perceives reality as a kaleidoscope of intersecting temporal and spatial lines: when our perception can capture an intersection, an epiphany comes to mind, ready to guide us towards the artistic process.

Save Children Under War

The exhibited works will depict various scenes from different perspectives related to the conflicts and wars in the Middle East. In light of this, our organization has launched this project to ensure that the children of under war, who are suffering from malnutrition and illness due to food shortages, can grow up healthy and experience a hopeful future. Donations collected through this project will be used to support children under war through UNICEF.
